Changing lives through meaningful connection
Act as if what you do makes a difference. It does.
We believe in supporting people before they hit crisis, and we know that genuine connection and meaningful activity gives people meaning and purpose in their lives. That’s why we run programmes that help people come together over a shared activity, to talk openly and honestly about their feelings
Addressing men’s mental health through deepening connections.
We know that men struggle to talk about vulnerability and difficult feelings. We also know that poor mental health in men has a tendency to result in anti-social behaviour, alcohol or substance misuse, isolation and/or, tragically, suicide. Death by suicide is still the biggest cause of death in men under the age of 50 and around three quarters of deaths from suicides each year are men. We know talking helps, but that men find it hard to come forward.
Research shows that cultural norms often discourage men from forming meaningful relationships, leading to emotional isolation and significant health risks. Studies highlight that social isolation can result in severe physical and mental health issues, including heart disease, depression, and anxiety.
Our programmes “Dough Bro’s” and “Ageless Man” provide supportive environments where men can break free from these constraints, fostering genuine connections and improving their overall well-being. By prioritizing emotional support and community, we help men lead healthier, more connected lives. In turn they can show up their friends, families and communities in a better way.
